To me, photography is the most natural thing. Being fully in present moment and capturing it by pressing the shutter brings me joy, pleasure and excitement, all at once. This thoughtless - present moment - is suddenly "becoming a past in the future" and it can be captured...

Photography can be very fulfilling, as everything what one likes to do. It can become very creative and through that creativity one can express their inner views about the outer world. Light is the painter, camera is the brush, and I am the instrument that presses down the shutter - I find that fascinating!
One can play in many ways, either in the process of photography, by enjoying an interaction with subjects, creating a mood through different light settings or simply by playing in the postproduction process.

Already as a little child, I loved to draw. At that time I mastered pencils and brushes.
During my teenage years, I used to help my dad with developing our family photos in our small bathroom / homemade darkroom. There I experienced the magic of a latent image, slowly appearing and showing the moment captured on the camera. The whole process and atmosphere in the darkroom left a deep imprint on me and planted a strong desire to try it by myself. When I was thirteen, my dad gave me a cute, fifty years old camera. My very first one! I checked some photography books, got some b&w films and got started. At the beginning, I only "reportaged" moments from my school life. Some years into it, I finally understood camera as an instrument of art. During my studies at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, I found a friend who brought me to the new camera club in our city. Since then, I got fully confronted with the art of photography. Exchanging ideas, themes, points of view and finally, studying at the Prague School of Photography. After some presentations at the annual club exhibitions, I got opportunities to also hold a number of my own author exhibitions, in my home land - Slovakia, as well as abroad (Germany, Holland).

After getting married and bringing the most beautiful child to this world, I discovered a new dimension. My little daughter, along with other joy giving moments, were the best objects of my photographic aspirations, that inspired my life in a whole new way. I could get closer to the soul of a child, to that beautiful world of innocence and appreciate its beauty. People were always the most interesting subjects for me. I enjoy all different ways of portraying them; trying to capture their character, their inner and also outer beauty, or just those moments when they pretend to be someone else. The life is a play and we are the actors on its "stage". Who else, if not ourselves, could make it this interesting. So in addition to all of those serious life duties, let’s have some fun, let’s do some photography! ;)
